Lunedì 24 febbraio 2020 su ordinanza ministeriale, Atelier I Cachi chiude le porte causa emergenza sanitaria.
L’idea più creativa era quella di restare a casa per proteggere se stessi e gli altri.
L’isolamento domestico al quale siamo stati sottoposti ci ha messo tutti a dura prova, ma che effetto ha avuto sulle persone che hanno disabilità intellettive e fragilità mentali?
M. ogni martedì e venerdì mattina si alzava, si vestiva, prendeva l’autobus e camminava fino a via Bixio 50, aspettava dalle 2 alle 3 ore, con la pazienza di uno scoglio, che qualcuno di noi arrivasse ad aprire.
Abituati a passare intere giornate nel nostro amato, affollato, strampalato Atelier, ci siamo trovati dinnanzi ad un “vuoto dei corpi”.. che fare?
Accorciare le distanze e cercare l’azzurro, come? Con una videocamera, set casalinghi, riprese non proprio d’autore. Tante case diverse, diventano una sola.
Il risultato? Un cortometraggio che racconta la nuova quotidianità degli artisti e dello staff dei Cachi!

On Monday 24th February 2020, Atelier I Cachi had to close its doors due to an health emergency. The most creative idea was to stay at home to protect ourself and others. The domestic isolation we have been subjected to, has put us all to a test, but what effect has it had on people who have intellectual disabilities and mental ragility? M. every Tuesday and Friday morning gets up, gets dressed takes the bus and walks up to Via Bixio 50, waiting from 2 to 3 hours for someone coming to open the Atelier.
Accustomed to spending entire ays in our beloved, crowded, weirdish Atelier, we confronted ourselves with a “body void”.. what could we do? shorten distances and look for the sky, how? With a camera, creating homemade sets and not so professional shootings, but many houses become one. The result? A short film that narrates the new everyday life of the artist nd the staff of Atelier I Cachi!
